Radiohead - The King Of Limbs (2011) Blue Room Review Some days ago we reported that Radiohead's new album was just around the corner. However, these types we are used to deliver different time formats and the majority of many bands.
This time was no exception; The English gave us an advance by the simple "Lotus Flower" on Friday ... and download it off the album came forward to the day. Obviously the album was leaked, and as usual I had to look like crazy to find it.
I got home on Friday around 7 pm and the first thing I did was give "Play" 8 th plate length entitled "The King Of Limbs." Come
slowly and start with the cover.
Yeah, it's Radiohead, and once again (from Hail To The Thief) agreed by the colors, the merger and the same abstract art that I love and that always works.
Although the name of the disk is not the best of all, I like. In fact it is the least important when you consider that Radiohead is a band that seeks to exploit or sell records. I will not discuss much about it, Radiohead is art.
After the first listen I must admit I was a little hungry, that night I kept thinking that the successor to In Rainbows must have been something else, is A OK Computer? I do not know. But
despite this, the record earned my attention, And that, that is what I was more worried! Fortunately, I was not disappointed and I chose to listen to it again.
After some listens, I feel ready to begin my review of The King Of Limbs
1 - Bloom: I personally expected a devastating start, schizophrenic and disturbed by Thom and company, but decided to give the disc a quiet start, with a piano that I remember several classical pieces of composition.
This gives way to a more experienced Sealway Phil, can see that his solo project will allow him to take over reins this project.
The melody is not noticeable in the foreground, however, the song is good and make you wrap arrays in an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort.
In my opinion, could not have been the best song to start the record ... but still serves as the first track anyone. ENGAGE.
2 - Morning Mr Magpie: With this theme, we turn to a composition much more "Radiohead." Jonny Greenwood begins to take center stage in the disk. By tapping good start pushing him to the tune of Yorke, who along with Phil battery to drive back to a more classic. The song is well
 wealthy as the second track.
Even without much seasoning, the song makes me happy and gives way to one that by far is my favorite album.
3 - Little By Little: We the third song on the album, it was time for a stronger dish. Thank God Colin Greenwood begins to make mischief in the bass and give it that flavor that is Radiohead.
guitar arrangements and my synesthesia remind me a somewhat more Western in this song. Something new for the band and yet accommodate knew my expectations.
This song sounds like single, and I am sure that within two or three months will be broadcast the next cut.
the choir says it all: "Little by little by hook or by crook", The album is getting good little by little, by hook or by crook.
4 - Feral: Here things get more interesting. We hear in this song a Radiohead fourth strongest in the disk. Once inside this track, you find yourself immersed in the concept of the album.
return of the delusions of Yorke and dark melodies that remind me of Kid A, Typical good song of any Radiohead album that serves as a representative of each disk.
This song also serves as a preparation or a snack for one of the highlights of this production.
5 - Lotus Flower: The song heard over the weekend, Lotus Flower is one excellent song from Radiohead must have for any album of the British. With a more accessible and digestible melody, is slated to become a complicated and black ballad for the new generation who like to enjoy Radiohead.
This song as you know, was the first thing we heard the album. Personally, the song sounds very good and the video or say, Thom Yorke shows us that we know that Thom who enjoys doing what he does not care what people say about him.
6 - Codex: Radiohead forgets his melancholy. Can not an album of them exist without a song with an air of depression, reflection and hidden beauty.
They know that people need music to think!
The melody is very good, very good, is again a song a little more accessible than the rest of the disc. This song is still the drive quieter and also has single profile in a while.
The baton of the song is undoubtedly made by Thom Yorke Radiohead shouting to the world that has not fallen
7 - Give Up The Ghost: This song starts as the last one ended, very gentle and calm. Thom and his guitar then revive things with sound very nice atmosphere, something that could have been taken from OK Computer or Kid A. The melody in this song and the background effects are responsible for relaxing, leaving you rested and ready for the end of the disk.
8 - Separator: We reached the end of the disc, the last two songs I mentioned as we left and ready for the last song of this eighth album.
The song sounds very strong, is one of the most colorful tracks on the disc. Jonny arrangements make the disc end something very sweet and Thom's voice as always flying everywhere, waving briefly. Summary
The song is very bittersweet, the song seems ie the opposite of what the instruments convey. Very good song to end the disc, meets all the requirements to be met by closing the album.
Radiohead's new album seems to satisfy most listeners of the band. And although I first heard the album did not seem like a jewel of the British, now that I discussed several times and I gave my time to enjoy it, I can say that they did not intend to return to change the direction of music as in other Sometimes they have done or other artists.
knew they had a concept and translate it into a disc rather unified, well carried out and a most excellent production.
Also very important thing to note is that the disc has a personality, and I'm sure those who really enjoy Radiohead find its meaning and essence embodied in 8 songs in under 40 minutes. That is the most important. Radiohead seal is not lost and I'm sure have had something else in mind, the English had done.
This album, The King Of Limbs is what they want to offer today. And I'm pretty sure that Radiohead is still for a long time.
A toast to Phil, Ed, Colin, Nigel, Jonny and Thom still doing what they like with the sole purpose of giving us what we want ... Art. Score
 album: 9.5
Some favorites: Lotus Flower, Little By Little, Codex, Feral
